FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take a statue or thangka out of Nepal?+

Yes. Anything under 100 years old exports freely, and we provide the Department of Archaeology non-antique certificate that customs will ask for.

How do I know the piece is genuinely handmade?+

Every item carries a tag naming the workshop and the artisan. You are welcome to visit the studio it came from — we run guided visits daily.

Do you take commissions?+

We do. A commissioned bronze takes six to twelve weeks depending on size, and a large thangka can take several months. Half the payment is taken up front.

Prices are higher than the tourist stalls but you can see exactly where the money goes.

Bought a Green Tara bronze and got to meet the family who cast it. Shipping to Europe was flawless.
