A one-day introduction to thangka painting led by a master painter from the Patan tradition. Covers the iconometric grid, brush control and line work, and grinding and applying natural stone pigments. All materials provided; you take your panel home.

Do I need to be able to draw?+
No. The iconometric grid does most of the structural work — the skill is in patience with the line, not free drawing.
Are materials included?+
Yes, brushes, pigments, and a prepared cotton panel are all included and the panel is yours to keep.
Is lunch provided?+
Yes, a simple Newari lunch is included in the workshop fee.
