FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the trek price?+

Permits, licensed guide, porter, teahouse accommodation, and three meals a day on the trail. International flights, travel insurance, and personal gear are not included.

Do I need previous trekking experience for Annapurna Base Camp?+

No, but you should be comfortable walking five to six hours a day for several consecutive days. We send a preparation plan eight weeks before departure.

What happens if someone in the group gets altitude sickness?+

Guides carry a pulse oximeter and monitor the group daily. If symptoms appear we descend immediately, and our insurance partner can arrange helicopter evacuation where the terrain requires it.

When is the best season to trek?+

Late September to November has the clearest mountain views, and March to May is the rhododendron season. We do not run high-pass routes during the July–August monsoon.

Excellent operation. Teahouses on the lower section were basic, but that is the trail, not them.

Permits were sorted before we landed and the pre-trek briefing was genuinely useful.

Our guide Pemba was outstanding — read the group's pace perfectly and never rushed anyone.
